Cigarettes to cost EUR 10 in three years

10 Jul 2017. France plans to raise the price of a pack of cigarettes by EUR 3 (USD 3.42) to EUR 10 in three years, Reuters said in a report citing Health Minister Agnes Buzyn.

Tobacco tax increases are part of the health initiative of the new government under President Emmanuel Macron. Currently Ireland the United Kingdom lead European countries with cigarette pack prices around EUR 10, the news agency said.
