Oregon joins Tobacco 21 club

10 Aug 2017. Oregon became the fifth US state to raise the minimum age to 21 for purchasing tobacco products, a statute that will take effect next January, The Oregonian reported.

Legislation signed into law by Governor Kate Brown also covers vaping products. California, Hawaii, Maine and New Jersey have raised the minimum purchase age, in most cases from 18 to 21.
