World Tobacco Expo 2011

08 Jan 2010. From 8 to 10 November 2011, the German city of Munich will host World Tobacco Expo 2011, the tobacco industry’s next big event. As response shows, the organisers have made a wise decision to choose Europe’s biggest tobacco market as a venue.

Selection of the right venue for a tobacco exhibition and conference is vital, as we have just seen, and the choice of Munich by World Tobacco and Tobacco Journal International for their next big trade fair is spot on. Talks with the tobacco community continue to confirm this. Where else in Europe would you find a state-of-the-art, highly functional exhibition centre that not only offers latest presentation and communication technologies, but also large, easily accessible, daylight halls with a clear height of eleven metres? The assembly of exhibition stands could not be made any easier. The New Munich Trade Fair Centre is conveniently located close to the airport and the city centre and hence benefits from a superb infrastructure.

The halls of the New Munich Trade Fair Centre have a clear height of eleven metres.

Germany, which is Europe’s largest tobacco market after Russia, is home to many big names in the industry. Not only do the leading cigarette manufacturers have their production centres here; many renowned suppliers from all fields of the tobacco business also have their headquarters in Germany. As far as the regulation of tobacco is concerned, the country has been comparatively liberal so far. Munich really is the perfect host city. On the one hand, it is a modern, industrial city, home to top players in key industries, such as BMW and Siemens, and many biopharmaceutical companies. On the other hand, Munich is the epitome of German Gemütlichkeit, with its cosy quarters and its proximity to the Bavarian Alps.

All these factors add to the attractiveness of this event. Moreover, stand space at World Tobacco Expo 2011 is sensibly priced, providing exhibitors with even better value for their money than any other event in Europe. Consequently, response from the market has been very good, and stand space is selling quickly. If you want your company to be part of this success story, you had better be quick and make a reservation, otherwise the best booths will be gone.
