Philip Morris USA, U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company and cigar-maker John Middleton have launched a website for consumers about tobacco issues, said parent-company Altria.

In addition to information, the site will offer opportunity for active involvement, Altria said in a statement on 23 Dec. Citizens for Tobacco Rights at tobaccorights.com is the follow-on to predecessor tobaccoissues.com, from which more than 17,000 consumers contacted their legislators on tobacco issues in 2011, according to the new site.
