Altria’s US Smokeless Tobacco (USSTC) subsidiary is recalling some of its smokeless products manufactured in Illinois after customers complained of finding metal objects in moist-snuff cans.

The recall was based on complaints from eight consumers in six states, Altria said. “The majority of USSTC's cans are not affected,” the company said. Skoal, Copenhagen, Husky and Cope brand products made in Franklin Park, Illinois may be subject to recall. A list of recalled products is available at: https://goo.gl/UBNSFu
In Canada, National Smokeless Tobacco Company said it was recalling smokeless products made by its affiliate USSTC in Illiinois. The Canadian recall affects certain lots of 14 Copenhagen and Skoal product varieties, NSTC said. The company said it was not aware of any complaints by customers in Canada.
