Star Tobacco International (STI) established a business unit for European sales of derivatives and tobaccos to small dealers and manufacturers, naming John Can Ozkayki to the newly created position of sales manager, European tactical markets.

STI also said increased demand for cut rag tobacco prompted the appointment of Akin Akdogan as commercial director for the global cut rag business. The new job is an additional responsibility. Akdogan will continue as manager of government tobacco monopolies and group logistics.
Rustu Calik was promoted to assistant logistics manager, a Position previously held by Ozkayki. Atik Sugiati has been promoted to finance and administration manager, Indonesian region. She also will oversee logistics and administration at the Denpasar office of the STI company, PT Far East Leaf Indonesia.
At TSAL, Ozgur Berkada has been appointed tobacco materials sales manager. He joined the maker of tailor-made tobacco processing lines in March, 2015.
