The bill is designed to create legal measures to prevent the sale of cigarettes to minors under the age of 18, limit smoking and generate additional financial resources.
According to the statement, the measure is also aimed at protecting citizens' health, and intends to expand the ban of tobacco smoking to all enclosed public places, including public buildings and on public transport.
Meanwhile, health and education officials will conduct campaigns to raise public awareness on the dangers of smoking in public. (pi)
