BAT Russia is registering steady growth of sales in all price segments and has brought its market share to 21 per cent in Russia, the company posts in a news release on 2006 Q1 results.
Remarkably, most rapid growth was demonstrated by the premium brands, Kent registering a record share of nearly 25 per cent of the premium segment, and Vogue having won 30 per cent of the superslims segment and 8 per cent of the entire premium segment. In the value for money segment Yava Gold is the fastest growing brand in the market and has increased its share to 25.4 per cent. BAT Russia is confirming its leadership in the low segment as well, where Yava and Alliance have brought their combined share to 23.8 per cent. ‘Our strategy is focused on the increase of volumes in key segments: premium, medium, international brands, low tar and nicotine products.
