British American Tobacco (BAT) began online sales of its first e-cigarette in the United Kingdom and plans to introduce the product into retail outlets from September, the company said.
Vype currently is a disposable product using a nicotine e-liquid made in the UK. A rechargeable version will be introduced soon, BAT said.
“Development of inhaled nicotine products, which includes e-cigarettes, is a natural extension of British American Tobacco’s approach to tobacco harm reduction which has been evolving over a number of years,” the company said.
