British American Tobacco expects sales of its vaping and tobacco heating products will double next year to GBP 1 billion (EUR 1.1 billion) and rise to more than GBP 5 billion in 2022, BAT told investors.

Sales this year would have been more than GBP 500 with a full year performance from recently acquired Reynolds American, investors at a company presentation in London were told. Sales of tobacco heating and vapour products are running above expectations. The NGP business should be breaking even by the end of 2018 and delivering “substantial profit” by the 2022, the cigarette maker said.
Separately, the UK parliament has created a panel to study the health and economic impact of tobacco heaters and electronic cigarettes, Bloomberg News reported. Written comments may be submitted to the Science and Technology Committee by 8 Dec, the news agency said.
