British American Tobacco (BAT) announced a series of management changes, including the departure of Nicoventures Managing Director Des Naughton and Neil Withington, who will retire from the Management Board next year.
Withington, group legal director and general counsel, will leave BAT as of 30 April, where he has been a board member since 2000. Naughton, who has held several management board posts, will depart at the end of February, 2015, to pursue other business opportunities, BAT said.
Kingsley Wheaton, board member responsible for corporate and regulatory affairs, will take responsibility from 1 Jan for next-generation products, which in addition to the emerging nicotine business includes heat-not-burn devices, BAT said. Wheaton will be succeeded by Jerome Abelman, currently assistant general counsel.
