British American Tobacco will test a hybrid cigarette product employing e-cigarette technology and tobacco next week in a European market, according to Reuters.
Called iFuse, the hybrid would heat a liquid containing nicotine to create vapour that will pass through tobacco near the tip of the device, the news agency said in a story citing Kingsley Wheaton, BAT’s managing director of next generation products. The product would incorporate elements of the Kent cigarette and be tested in a market where the brand is popular.
