Bulgartabac Holding, the tobacco company sold by the Bulgarian government last September, reported consolidated profit rose BGN 2.1 million (EUR 1.1 million) in the second quarter to BGN 13.3 million, novinite.com reported
Novinite.com, the English language site of Sofia News Agency, reported second-quarter sales rose to BGN 114 million. Bulgartabac is owned by a subsidiary of Russia’s VTB bank. The tobacco company exports Virginia, burley and oriental leaf, and is Bulgaria’s largest cigarette maker. (pi)
