California health officials launched campaign to highlight the dangers of e-cigarettes and combat the growing popularity of vaping, the San Bernadino Sun said.
Television spots, billboards, social media and movie house advertising will be used in the campaign slated to run through June, the newspaper said. The campaign follows publication in January of a public health advisory. The state health warning in part states studies have found lower levels of carcinogens in e-cigarette aerosols than in cigarette smoke, but both contain at least 10 chemicals known to cause cancer, The Sun reported.
