Cigarette sales at leading discounter Lotte Mart rose 30 per cent due to apparent hoarding in reaction to talk of price hikes, according to the mk Business News website.
Outlet sales rose on average 3,000 packages per day between March 6 and 8 as measured against the comparable period last year, the website said in a story citing unnamed industry sources. (pi)
