Electronic Cigarettes International Group (ECIG) expects to sign a distribution agreement with independent tobacco company TDR to expand in southeastern Europe, the company said.
TDR is particularly strong in Croatia, where it has a 60 per cent market share, said ECIG, which lays claim to being the world’s largest independently owned e-cigarette company. A memorandum of understanding has been signed under which TDR would have exclusive rights to distribute ECIG products in its regions.
Publicly held ECIG traces its roots to the 2010 launch of Victory Electronic Cigarettes. The company changed its name this year. With operations in western Europe and North America, ECIG brands include Vapestick, VIP, Fin, Victory and GreenStix.
