The Slovenian National Assembly confirmed on Tuesday to raise excise duties on cigarettes, electricity and gas, reports the Slovenian Press Agency.
The coalition backed the temporary increase, arguing it would help compensate for the drop in budget revenues, while the opposition warned that the move places an additional burden on companies and consumers. (pi)
