Production of flue-cured Virginia (FCV) tobacco is expected to increase to 222 million kilogrammes in 2015 from 216 million kgs the previous growing season, the Zimbabwe Herald said.
Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa revealed the industry target during his presentation of the 2015 budget, the newspaper said on its website. Last season the price per kg fell to an average USD 3.17 from USD 3.68 in 2013 as output rose more than 50 million kgs from 165 million kgs, the Herald said.
