The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee (TPSAC) will hold a public meeting on 13 and 14 September to discuss Modified Risk Tobacco Product (MRTP) applications submitted by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company for six of its snus products, the Federal Register said.
The FDA said that it plans to make background material on the meeting available to the public on the agency's website at least two days before the meeting.
Oral presentations from the public will take place between approximately 8 am and 9 am at the meeting in Silver Spring, Maryland. Interested persons should notify the agency and submit a brief statement on what they wish to present on or before 16 August 16. See the announcement for more information.
