The Food and Drug Administration’s Centre for Tobacco Products (CTP) will hold a workshop in April to collect information on battery problems in vaping devices that have caused injury to users through explosions and overheating.
Location for the “science-based public workshop” is the FDA complex in Silver Spring, Maryland on 19-20 April, CTP said. Content will be geared to an audience of scientific and medical experts, manufacturers, importers wholesalers, retailers and government agencies.
A public comment session is scheduled for 20 April. Registration ends 17 March. Applications for presenters and panellists may be submitted until 17 Feb, CTP said. Additional information is available at: https://goo.gl/Wt2rVV
