The Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee will discuss modified risk tobacco product (MRTP) applications for the Philip Morris IQOS device and heatsticks on 24-25 January and the discussions will be webcast, a note on the Food and Drug Administration website said.
The Committee will discuss MRTP applications submitted by Philip Morris Products for the IQOS system will Marlboro Heatsticks, Smooth Menthol Heatsticks and Fresh Marlboro Heatsticks, the FDA said.
The meeting will take place at FDA White Oak Conference Centre in Silver Spring, MD on 24-25 January from 8:30 – 17:00 EST. The webcast of the discussion will begin approximately 15 minutes prior to the meeting and will be accessible on the FDA’s Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee web page.
