Food and confectionary companies are taking action to keep their brand names off imitation e-liquid flavours, the Associated Press reported.
Food company General Mills, confectionery maker Tootsie Roll Industries and the Girl Scouts of America, whose members sell Girl Scout cookies door-to-door once a year, are among groups that have sent cease-and-desist letters to e-liquid makers regarding use of their brands, the AP said. Trademark owners want to ensure their brand names are not being used to entice young people to use e-cigarettes or to promote addictive nicotine products, the news agency said.
