Juul Labs has appointed Gerald F Masoudi, who served as Chief Council of the US Food and Drug Administration, as its Chief Legal Officer, the e-vapour company said in a press release.

Effective 9 July, Masoudi will be responsible for Juul Labs’ global legal strategy and will be based at the company’s Washington, D.C. office.
Masoudi served as Principal Deputy/Acting Chief Counsel of the FDA from 2004 to 2005, and as Chief Council at the agency from 2007-2009. While at the FDA, Masoudi supervised agency litigation and advised senior leadership on regulatory matters, Juul Labs said.
Since 2015 he has held the position Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Celgene Corporation.
