Robert B. Fulford, Jr. has been named the new CEO of U.S. Tobacco Cooperative, the company said in a press release.
The Board of Directors named Fulford as the new Chief Executive Officer of U.S. Tobacco Cooperative (USTC), effective 1 February. Fulfort comes to the post from the position of Vice President of Leaf Operations at Reynolds American Incorporated, and has previously held senior positions with R.J. Reynolds and Brown & Williamson, the press release said.
"Robert is the best choice for us," said Ed Kacsuta, Chief Financial Officer at USTC. "He's been a successful executive and more importantly, he's a great fit with our culture and core values. We're delighted that he's accepted the position," Kacsuta was quoted in the press release as saying.
USTC said Fulford’s appointment is a reflection of the company’s current outlook: “an organisation that continues to transform and develop as a world-class leaf and consumer products organisation.”
Fulford will be responsible for day to day activities of the consolidated organisation as well as the development and implementation of annual, long term, and strategic plans, USTC said.
