Miami-based General Tobacco has launched two new products, Vaquero Little Cigars for the US and international markets and Bronco LIP (low ignition propensity) for the New York market.
Vaquero is aimed at the rapidly growing little cigar market for a competitively priced quality brand and is available in 100s and King Size soft pack in four flavours, natural, cherry, menthol and vanilla. The company will also bring on line a 5 1/2-inch hand-rolled cigar in two variants.
Bronco LIP is a line extension of General Tobacco's Bronco brand, and has been specifically introduced for the New York market in response to market requests for a quality value-brand, where state legislation introduced in 2003 requires all cigarettes sold in the state to be low ignition propensity. The LIP variants is made with the same high-quality tobacco but with special paper that lowers the burn rate and air permeability, which helps to lower the ignition propensity of each cigarette. Bronco LIP will be available as a full complementary line to the existing Bronco line of variants, the company says. (ci)
