Olivier Ferrary will take over as general manager at Rhodia Acetow in February, replacing Gérard Collette who moves to a position with parent Solvay Group in Brussels, the company announced.
Ferrary, 54, was general director at Solvay’s SDU Special Chemicals and has held various positions in chemicals and plastic. Collette will manage industrial functions at group headquarters. He leaves Rhodia after five years at the helm.
German-based Rhodia, the world’s third largest producer of cellulose acetate tow, was acquired by Solvay in 2011. A new logo reflecting the ownership change was adopted late last year. Rhodia operates production sites around the world. (ci)
