Cigarette health warnings with pictures covering 75 per cent of the front and back of packs will be implemented “soon”, the Myanmar Times said in a report citing Health Minister U Than Aung.

Final ministry approval for the larger warnings on cigarette packs and other tobacco packaging was expected by the end of the year, the Times said. The notification would be enacted within six months of approval, according to the English translation of the original story.
