“How to get an NGP ready to launch”

Business Insights has released a new 'InterTabac Meets…' podcast featuring Nveed Chandhay, CEO of Broughton Group.

The market for alternatives to conventional tobacco products continues to boom. But more and more manufacturers are having difficulty selling their NGP innovations to consumers due to increasingly strict government regulations and requirements. This is one of the topics covered in the latest edition of InterTabac’s podcast “Tobacco & Vape, News & Views” which this time welcomes Nveed Chandhay as its guest. Chandhay is Chief Scientific and Regulatory Officer at Broughton Group, a consultancy specialising in science and regulation.
In the podcast, Chandhay talks about the problems of launching products in global consumer markets – and how his consultancy helps businesses get NGPs ready for market. After all, successful market launches are often preceded by months of product studies. “We optimise the product before these trials commence,” says Chandhay. He and his experts don't just specialise in launching new products – they also take products already established in markets around the world and make them even better. Another topic covered by the podcast is the industry's concern that flavours may be banned at some point. Chandhay shares these fears: “By so doing, countries would ensure that consumers who want to move away from conventional cigarettes no longer have an alternative to smoking.”

The entire podcast is now available online at: https://business-insights.intertabac.de/en-gb/media-center

The podcast “Tobacco & Vape, News & Views” appears on Business Insights, the interactive platform of InterTabac, the world's largest trade show for tobacco products and smoking accessories. InterTabac is being held in Dortmund between 15 and 17 September in tandem with InterSupply, the leading trade show for manufacturing processes behind tobacco products, e-cigarettes, pipes and hookahs.
