Huge success for InterTabac & InterSupply

A strong national and international presence and great satisfaction among exhibitors and trade visitors at the world’s leading trade fairs meant InterTabac & InterSupply were back to pre-Corona success, according to a press release from organizer Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe.

Tobacco products, smoking supplies and everything needed to produce them took centre stage in Dortmund’s exhibition halls from September 14 to 16, 2023. The renowned world’s leading trade fair InterTabac and InterSupply once again opened their doors and attracted top exhibitors as well as an impressive number of international decision-makers and trade visitors to the metropolitan region. “The result, the high level of internationality and the many positive voices that reached us following the trade fairs clearly prove that InterTabac and InterSupply continue to be the leading order, innovation and dialog platforms for the industry. It also underlines the high economic relevance of the trade fairs and their decisive importance for closing deals,” was the positive conclusion of Sabine Loos, General Manager of the Westfalenhallen Group of Companies.
More than 680 exhibitors from 60 different nations were represented at this year’s edition of the trade fair duo displaying the latest from the classic segment as well as the NGP segment. Overall, around 56 percent of this year’s visitors had an international background, with many of them coming from the US and Canada, Brazil and Colombia, for example. From the Asian region, those responsible for the trade show duo registered a high number of participants, especially from China, Indonesia, India and the Philippines. InterTabac and InterSupply again attracted a large number of European visitors from Great Britain, the Netherlands, Spain, France, Switzerland, Poland, Belgium and Austria with the response from Germany also strong at around 44 per cent.
More than 94 per cent of InterTabac exhibitors were already in favour of taking part in the show again. This figure has risen again compared with 2019 and 2022. Satisfaction with the appearance at InterSupply also increased further this year: 92 per cent of exhibitors are already planning their participation for the next edition and trade visitors agree with around 92 per cent saying they will attend next year.
