Imperial Tobacco and the French customs authority entered into an agreement to share information and train personnel to combat illicit trade, Imperial announced.
Under the co-operation agreement, the British-based tobacco company and French customs officials will exchange information on any seized tobacco shipments. Imperial will also provide training sessions for customs officials to assist them in identifying counterfeit cigarettes, the company said on 5 March. (ci)
