Imperial Tobacco may cut one in five jobs at its Bristol headquarters – as many as 100 employees – to reduce costs and improve its competitiveness, the BBC said.
A research laboratory in France may also be closed, the BBC said in a story citing a company spokesman. The Imperial cigarette factory in Yaroslavl, Russia, will be closed in January, according to a Reuters report. Imperial Tobacco is a unit of Imperial Brands.
