The twin trade fairs InterTabac and InterSupply will not go ahead this year and will next be held in September 2022, according to a press release from the organiser Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe GmbH.

In view of the current situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the industry has decided against going ahead with its plans for this year's events. Instead, the twin fairs will take place on 15 to 17 September 2022 when participants from all over the world will once again be able to get together in Dortmund and discover the latest products and trends presented by the exhibitors.
“Working closely with the industry associations and partner associations, the conceptual sponsors, the advisory board and the exhibitors of these twin fairs, it has become clear that the vast majority are against holding the events this September, as previously announced,” said Sabine Loos, Managing Director of Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe GmbH.
According to the press release, in 2022, the fairs will be accompanied by an exclusive series of tastings, conferences and a supporting programme, which will be an important core part of the event. In 2019, InterTabac and InterSupply had a record of 13,800 guests and hosted leading industry experts and visitors from all over the world.
“Alongside InterTabac with its superb record of success over several decades, InterSupply has now also been able to establish itself as a firm feature in the tobacco industry diary,” said Loos. As an international trade fair, next year's InterSupply (the 6th event) will once again focus on the manufacturing processes behind tobacco products, e-cigarettes, pipes and shishas, and will once again offer participants an ideal platform for discussing, sharing and interacting, and for placing and taking orders.”
