Mary Harney, the country's minister for health and children, plans to introduce legislation requiring graphic health warnings on tobacco products.
The government plans to introduce combined text and photo warnings on tobacco products following public consultation. It has identified 14 warnings which are to be used on the Irish market. Interested parties are requested to get in touch with the department of health regarding when the warnings should be rolled out before the 20 June submission deadline. (pi)
