Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT) has announced that it will be expanding its heat-not-burn range with two new vapour products, according to a press release.

The two new products complement Ploom TECH, which is already on the market and is very popular among consumers. JT now offers the largest variety of tobacco vapour products in Japan to suit individual consumer needs, JT reported. The different heating temperatures offer consumers a specific product experience. In the low temperature heating segment, Ploom TECH offers a clear taste, while the new Ploom TECH+ offers richer vapour and flavour to consumers, JT said. The company added that in the high temperature heating segment, Ploom S is suited to consumers who want to enjoy an authentic and familiar tobacco taste.
“With the launch of Ploom TECH+ and Ploom S, we are taking a further step on our Reduced-Risk Products [products with potential to reduce the risks associated with smoking] journey in Japan. (…) We continue to expand our portfolio, offering consumers more choices to enjoy tobacco vapour products,” Mutsuo Iwai, executive vice president and president of the tobacco business, was quoted as saying.
