Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT) has received approval from the Ministry of Finance for its reapplication dated 31 August to amend the retail prices of its heated tobacco products (HTP) in Japan in conjunction with the revised tax structure.
The new retail prices will be effective on 1 October 2022 for a total of 17 HTP. For example, the price of JT’s MEVIUS for Ploom TECH will rise from JPY 570 to 580 (USD 3.98 to 4.04).
JT will strive to continue to improve the quality of its products and services, to exceed the
expectations of its adult consumers, JT said in a press release.
