The law requires tobacco companies to change the description and layout of the compulsory caution statements on all packages of tobacco products in Japan, the statement said. This applies to the caution statements on heated tobacco products and also on the statements about yields of nicotine and tar. New caution statements will be applied to all the heated tobacco products and cigarettes with a certain volume shipped from 1 April 2020 and for all remaining tobacco products from 1 July 2020, according to the press release.
