Japan Tobacco International (JTI) has begun marketing its Ploom Tech tobacco vapour product in Switzerland, which the company said marked the first launch of the device outside Japan.

Ploom is Japan Tobacco’s entry into the tobacco heater market currently dominated by Philip Morris International’s IQOS. JTI said Ploom Tech will be made available nationwide at more than 1,500 stores. A starter kit with the device and a refill pack of Winston tobacco capsules costs CHF 25 (EUR 22.65). Two varieties of refills are available at CHF 7.50 each.
