Nicotine will be the focus of a two-day conference in Warsaw that organisers say will examine the science and politics behind use of nicotine in e-cigarettes and other alternatives to smoking.
Gerry Stimson, a UK professor and tobacco-harm expert, will chair the First Global Forum on Nicotine (GFN Warsaw 2014) on 27-28 June. Other prominent academics to speak at the conference include Karl Fagerstrom of the Smokers Information Centre, Sweden, Konstantinos Farsalinos of the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Centre, Greece, Riccardo Polosa of the University of Catania, Italy and Andrzej Sobczak from Poland’s Institute of Occupational Medicine and Environmental Health.
