KT&G Chief Executive Officer Min Young-jin and five senior executives at the country’s largest tobacco company face a police investigation into corruption charges in connection with a property development project, the Korea Herald reported.
Min and the other executives were booked by police in connection with unusually high payments to a subcontractor, the newspaper said on its website. KT&G reportedly responded the contractor received the correct amount for services rendered.
