KT&G, Korea’s largest cigarette maker, plans to introduce a tobacco heating device in September to be able to compete in the country’s fast-growing market for non-combustibles, Yonhap News Agency reported.
Philip Morris International recently introduced its IQOS tobacco heater and British American Tobacco plans an August launch of its glo heating device, Yonhap said. BAT recently announced has expanded an existing facility in Sacheon, Korea to also make the tobacco sticks used in its glo device.
