South Korean cigarette manufacturer KT&G is set to release two new smokeless tobacco devices – lil Aible and lil Aible Premium – on 16 November, reports Korea JoongAng Daily.

The new heat-not-burn tobacco devices will be release in South Korea with plans to release the devices overseas should the device be successful nationally. The lil Aible device features artificial intelligence technology and is able to detect the surrounding temperature and humidity and heat itself to the optimal temperature, reports Korea JoongAng Daily. Users will also be notified when the battery level falls below 50 per cent.
The lil Aible Premium device features a touchscreen and can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth which enables further functions.
Both new devices will use KT&Gs AIIM heatsticks that have been specifically made for the lil Aible models. The devices will be sold at 8,500 convenience stores in Seoul, KT&G’s five offline stores known as lil Minimalium and on the company’s online website from 16 November, according to Korea JoongAng Daily. The lil Aible will cost KRW 110,000 (USD 80), and the lil Aible Premium at KRW 200,000 (USD 146).
