Pedro Malan, former Brazilian finance minister and central bank chief, is one of three non-executive director appointments to the Main Board of British American Tobacco, BAT announced.
Sue Farr, executive director of Chine Communications, and Dimitri Panayotopoulos, senior advisor at Boston Consulting Group, also were named to the BAT Board. The three appointments are effective 2 Feb. “They add significant consumer marketing experience and business and geopolitical skills and enhance the diversity of the board membership”, said BAT Chairman Richard Burrows.
Malan, who serves on the Board of BAT associate Souza Cruz, will step down from his position at the Brazilian cigarette manufacturer.
