St. Petersburg’s Philip Morris (PM) Izhora cigarette plant has started export supplies of Virginia Slims Uno packed in the innovative perfume box to Singapore, reported Rustabak news group.

According to the company’s CEO, Bertrand Bonvin, the Izhora plant is the only PM facility in the world to have a unique line for the so-called perfume box packaging (a compact pack in the shape of a 2.8 by 2.1cm bar), thus providing great scope for export. PM launched Virginia Slims Uno in Russia last February and already supplies the brand to Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Shipments to Singapore are planned to be brought to 5 per cent of the brand’s total export by the end of this year. Bonvin emphasized that supplies to Singapore are of particular importance as the market is known for its high-quality standards.
