Philip Morris International will invest PLN 150 million (EUR 35.4 million) in offices and a manufacturing site for roll-your-own (RYO) cigarette tobacco in Poland, the company announced.
About 700 jobs at Philip Morris Polska will be created in coming years through the investment in Krakow to be completed by mid-2014, PMI said.
PM Polska currently employs 3,000 people and was selected for the RYO investment due to the competitiveness and efficiency of the existing factory, PMI said. Production at PM Polska in Krakow is 50 billion sticks per annum, of which about 70 per cent is exported, the company said.
