R.J. Reynolds is expanding its test of its Camel Snus product to 10 new large cities, reports CSNews Online.
The 10 new markets that will see the smokeless, spitless product are Miami, New York, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Chicago, Minneapolis St. Paul, Seattle, San Francisco/Oakland and Los Angeles, according to company spokesman David Howard.
Camel Snus is already test marketed in nine cities.
The company plans to implement two other initiatives, namely a new, rounded edge packaging for its Pall Mall line of cigarettes, to be rolled out in April, and a test of Camel Crush, a new customisable menthol cigarette. The date and location of the test marketing of Camel Crush, which is a cigarette that includes a menthol capsule in the filter to be crushed anytime before or during smoking, was not disclosed. (pi)
