The Krasnoyarsk regional government that owns the majority stake in the cigarette making plant located in Kansk is planning to start the facility’s reconstruction this year.

The decision is to be made by the end of the first quarter 2006, reports Rustabak.ru. The US$ 4 million investment project will include shutting down the plant for a few months and installing new machines for filters and hard packs, said Denis Pashkov, head of the regional agency for industry, fuel and energy.
