Retailers testifying against a potentially ground breaking bill before the Tasmanian Parliament to ban sales of tobacco products to everyone born this Millenium said their livelihoods would be threatened, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) reported.
Introduced last November by Legislative Councilor Ivan Dean, the bill would prohibit retailers from selling or supplying any tobacco product to persons born on or after 1 Jan, 2000. The goal is to create a tobacco-free generation.
