A Federal Trade Commission (FTC) decision whether to allow Reynolds American to acquire Lorillard could come this week, the Wall Street Journal said in a story citing unnamed sources.

Some Lorillard assets would go to Imperial Tobacco under terms of the proposal, a move that would dilute the competitive impact of the deal.
