Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev said his country will sign the World Health Organisation Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products, Voice of Russia reported.
Adopted at the 2012 meeting of WHO’s Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) in Seoul, the protocol seeks to set up an international system to track movements of legal products and share information to combat black market trade. Russia has been an FCTC member since 2008. The story posted on the Voice of Russia website did not say when Russia would sign.
