Alex MacKinnon, the director of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) Scotland, called for a review of the evidence on the impact of vaping and better quality control, the Pharmaceutical Journal reported.
RPS policy on e-cigarettes, which opposes normalisation and favours longer term research, was being reviewed, MacKinnon reportedly said. “We are still concerned that while e-cigarettes look as if they have a role in harm reduction, vaping can still lead to physiological addiction to nicotine and psychological addiction to vaping,” he said as reported by the Journal.
